NVC is a roadmap that gives us a new way of patterning our thinking process. These are skills that can be learned just like writing or math. No matter how upset we feel in a situation we can return to a specific place on the map that will give us the tools to connect to ourselves or another effectively. With practice the roadmap lives in us naturally - in our minds, bodies, hearts, and spirits. With this fluency, changes occur in our brain functioning and thinking patterns. We move toward discovering our authentic selves and living increasingly in a genuine state of understanding and connection to self and others. The action we take in our lives matches who we authentically are and is based on considering everybody's needs.
